Specialized sourcing

Thin-gauge galvanized, sourced to your requirement.

Metal Master quotes galvanized down to 0.008 inch and slit widths up to 72 inches. At the thin end of the range, availability depends on the complete requirement—not gauge alone. Our domestic and qualified international network expands the options for matching grade, coating, finish, width, volume, and timing.

CMTR traceability follows the material through processing, and repeat requirements can be structured around stocking, scheduled-release, or JIT programs. Availability is subject to the final specification and source conditions.

Thin-gauge galvanized FAQs

What is considered thin-gauge galvanized steel?
There is no single universal cutoff. It generally means the lighter end of the sheet range, where thickness, coating, grade, width, and tolerance must be evaluated together.
Can Metal Master quote 0.008-inch galvanized?
Yes. Our published galvanized range begins at 0.008 inch, subject to the complete specification, quantity, processing requirements, timing, and source availability.
What should I provide for an accurate quote?
Send base-metal thickness and tolerance, ASTM A653 grade, coating designation, finish or treatment, slit width and tolerance, coil requirements, quantity, annual usage, delivery location, and required date.
Is imported galvanized material traceable?
Qualified imported material includes source and material documentation. Metal Master maintains CMTR traceability through processing and shipment according to the quote and purchase specification.

How customers usually run this

Match coating weight to exposure: G30 for indoor parts, G60–G90 for HVAC and appliance, G185 / G235 for outdoor service. For roll-forming and tight-radius bends, minimized-spangle and chem-treated surfaces process more consistently than regular spangle.
