Supply Chain
More ways to source. One accountable partner.
Metal Master combines rail-served access to domestic mills, qualified import suppliers, and mill-adjacent processing to build resilient flat-rolled steel programs around your specifications and schedule.
Sourcing flexibility
A broad network built for continuity.
No single mill is the right source for every gauge, coating, delivery window, or market condition. Metal Master maintains relationships across domestic producers and qualified international suppliers so we can match the source to the requirement.
Our facilities are rail-served by domestic mills, while global sources expand access to specialized thin gauges and additional supply options. Globally sourced steel can represent a significant percentage of supply on specific items; the mix shifts with availability, specification, and market conditions.

Your production schedule
Planned releases · JIT delivery · CMTRs
Source options can shift with availability, specification, lead time, and market conditions—without changing the accountability you receive from Metal Master.
Thin-gauge galvanized
Specialized gauges benefit from broader sourcing.
Qualified international producers can broaden access to specialized thin gauges when they are the right match for the grade, coating, finish, width, volume, and delivery requirement. Metal Master evaluates domestic and international options without assuming one origin fits every program, then coordinates processing, CMTR traceability, and delivery through one accountable relationship.
Planned continuity
JIT starts before the release arrives.
Forecast visibility helps Metal Master evaluate sources, place mill orders, plan processing, and establish an inventory buffer before production needs a shipment. Stored master or processed material can reduce exposure to mill lead times and transportation variability, while CMTR and lot identity remain connected through release and delivery.
Source options, inventory targets, replenishment points, release cadence, and delivery commitments are designed for each qualified program.
What this means for your operation.
Alternate-source flexibility
A broad domestic and international supplier network gives us more ways to respond when availability, specifications, or market conditions shift.
Program price protection
For qualified programs, we can structure price and supply commitments for up to six months, subject to specification, volume, quote terms, and market conditions.
JIT inventory programs
We can hold and process material against planned releases, helping reduce floor inventory while keeping steel aligned with your production schedule.
Documented traceability
CMTRs follow domestic and imported material through processing so heat, grade, coating, and source documentation remain connected to each shipment.
National footprint
Multiple facilities. A network of strategic alliances.
Glendale Heights, IL is corporate headquarters. Performance Master in Crawfordsville, IN is our mill-adjacent processing facility. A network of strategic alliance partners extends our processing reach across the U.S. for customers with multi-plant footprints.

A supporting advantage
Mill adjacency—where it applies.
Performance Master sits adjacent to Nucor Steel Crawfordsville. When Crawfordsville material is the right fit, the short transfer to our processing operation can reduce handling and transit time. It is a valuable option within our broader sourcing network—not a limit on where we buy steel.
