ZAM is a hot-dip coated steel with a zinc-aluminum-magnesium alloy that delivers 5–10× the corrosion resistance of conventional galvanized in most service environments. The coating self-heals at cut edges, scratches, and forming damage, making it a strong fit for solar racking, transportation, agriculture, and exposed structural applications where painted or coated steel is otherwise required.

How customers usually run this

ZAM's zinc-aluminum-magnesium coating self-heals at cut edges and forming damage, so unpainted ZAM often replaces painted galvanized in solar racking, agricultural, and exposed-structural service. Specify ZM coating weight to match the environment (ZM90 for moderate exposure, ZM180–ZM250 for coastal or aggressive). Tooling, welding parameters, and joining methods should be reviewed against the coating before first run.
